Referral Program Terms

These terms explain how users can share Exam Mindset and earn referral commissions on eligible purchases.

Effective date: To be confirmed before launch

This page describes Exam Mindset's Referral Program business terms. It is provided for clarity and is not legal advice.

1. Overview

The Exam Mindset Referral Program allows eligible users to share Exam Mindset using their personal referral link and earn commission on qualifying paid purchases made by referred users.

2. Who can participate

Eligible participants:

  • normal learner/student accounts
  • users in good standing
  • users who are not vendors
  • users who are not administrators

Not eligible:

  • vendor/training center accounts
  • admin accounts
  • suspended or restricted accounts
  • users attempting to abuse or manipulate the referral program

3. Referral link and attribution

Eligible users receive a personal referral link inside their dashboard. When someone visits Exam Mindset using that link, referral information may be stored for attribution purposes.

Attribution rule: last valid referral click wins.

Referral attribution is normally valid for 30 days unless changed by Exam Mindset.

4. Eligible purchases

Referral commissions may apply to eligible student purchases, including:

  • Single Exam Pack
  • Certification Bundle
  • All Access Membership
  • Application Review Support

Referral commissions do not apply to:

  • free samples
  • vendor voucher orders
  • free trial vouchers
  • refunded orders
  • cancelled orders
  • self-referrals
  • fraudulent or abusive activity

5. Commission rate

The standard referral commission rate is controlled by Exam Mindset and may be updated from time to time. The current default rate is 20% of eligible paid revenue, unless changed in the platform settings. Commission is calculated on the amount actually paid for the eligible order, after any site-wide discount or promotional pricing.

6. Commission status

Referral commissions may have statuses such as:

  • Pending — A commission has been recorded but has not yet been approved or paid.
  • Approved — The commission has been reviewed and approved for payout.
  • Paid — The commission has been paid or marked as paid.
  • Cancelled — The commission is not payable due to refund, cancellation, self-referral, abuse, or other ineligible activity.

7. When commission is created

Referral commission is created only after an eligible order is completed or fulfilled. Visiting a referral link, creating an account, or starting a free sample does not automatically create a commission.

8. Refunds and cancellations

If a referred purchase is refunded, cancelled, charged back, reversed, or otherwise not completed, any related referral commission may be cancelled or reversed.

9. Self-referrals

Users may not earn commission on their own purchases. Self-referrals are ignored and are not eligible for commission.

10. Vendor orders excluded

Vendor voucher purchases, training center voucher packs, free trial voucher allocations, and vendor-related orders are excluded from the Referral Program.

11. Abuse and misuse

Users must not:

  • create fake accounts to generate commissions
  • use misleading advertising
  • promise guaranteed exam results
  • impersonate Exam Mindset, PMI®, or any official organization
  • promote Exam Mindset as an official PMI® product
  • use spam or unauthorized marketing
  • abuse coupons, discounts, or referral tracking
  • refer themselves through alternate accounts

Exam Mindset may cancel commissions, disable referral eligibility, suspend accounts, or take other action if abuse is suspected.

12. No official PMI® relationship

Referral participants must not suggest that Exam Mindset is owned, endorsed, approved, or operated by PMI®. PMI®, PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, PMI-PBA, CAPM, and related marks are trademarks of Project Management Institute, Inc.

13. Payouts

Referral payouts are handled according to Exam Mindset's internal payout process. Payout timing, minimum payout thresholds, payment method, tax documentation, and payout availability may be defined or updated before launch. Until payout automation is enabled, commissions may be tracked in the user dashboard but are not automatically paid.

14. Taxes

Referral participants are responsible for any taxes, reporting, or compliance obligations related to referral commission income in their jurisdiction.

15. Program changes

Exam Mindset may change, pause, or discontinue the Referral Program, commission rate, eligibility rules, attribution window, or payout process at any time.
